SkyWatch Friday - Sky River

These pictures were taken less than an hour after last Fridays Skywatch pictures. Just to make sure that I did not get too carried away, the weather decided to replace rain with a mist!  All the times you hear that the “river/lake/sea was like a mirror” can make you forget that sometimes it really is!
So this is sky river post.

I don’t really know what was causing the green mist to the right of the tree – but it was there when I took the picture - strange!
You can find the first “wordy” post about my trip to the Daintree here – if you like some of my pictures you can find more there along with some of my words.
You can find more skies from around the world at SkyWatch Friday.
Enjoy the pictures.

  8. Like everyone else, that first photo deserves to hang on a wall. Now me, I would have posted it upside down and see if I could get away with it...it's that good.

  18. Hello Stewart,
This photograph is breath taking. I believe if it were mine I would enter it in a contest, or at least have a huge blow up made, have in matted and framed and hanging in my living-room. Just beautiful!

It was great to get a visit from you (the only thing that would have made it better is if you followed me back.
You are correct, it was early in the morning when I got this dragonfly shot. I just walked out into the backyard with my coffee cup in hand and there he was in all his glory. I was fortunate in the fact that my camera was very handy.
Have a great weekend and happy shooting, Connie :)
