Macro Monday - Bolt Heads

Found this bolt holding together a section of retaining wall near the sea when I was away last weekend.
The second set is on a board walk that is very popular with walkers and cyclists – hence the polish!

Rather like the effect in black and white. Not much more to say!

You can find more macro shots at Macro Monday.

You can see the most recent post to my other blog by clicking on the Paying Ready Attention image on the RHS of the page.

Enjoy the close ups!

  3. ce macro molts. This is my kind of posts as I am always shooting macro of images like this one. Yours is superb. I really like it. My macro thumbnail has not posted to the Linky Macro Monday site for way over an hour, so I am adding it here.

  4. The beauty of utilitarian things. Love the reminder -- and the reminder of how wonderful it is to have a digital camera@ Perfect black and white.

  11. Many people seem to think that macro has to be of a flower, but there are macro opportunities all around us. I love the contrasting wood and metal textures, the rustic and the polished, and they do work so well in B/W.
    Love these shots!
